Central Pennsylvania Gynecologic Cancer Support Group, Inc. (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through gyncancerpa.org and how we use it.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, we receive your name, contact information, and anything you include in your message. Messages sent through Facebook are also subject to Facebook’s privacy policy. Please do not send detailed medical information.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site secure and working properly.

Mailing list. When you join our mailing list, we collect your name, email address and, if you choose to share it, your mailing address. Your information is stored with Zeffy, the free nonprofit platform we use to manage our contacts and send our emails, and is used only to send you news about events and resources, including occasional mailings. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.

Donations. Online donations are processed by Zeffy and its payment processor. We receive your name, email address, mailing address and donation details so we can send receipts and keep required records. We never see or store your full card or bank details.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with anyone outside our volunteer leadership except as needed to operate the website or as required by law.

Events

We do not take photos of attendees or publish names without permission.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to function. Our mailing list signup and donation forms are provided by Zeffy, which may set its own cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, including Facebook, health systems, and national cancer organizations. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies when you visit them.

Children

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices

You may ask us to update or delete information you have sent us at any time by contacting us through our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
